Book Jacket Summary
Late one night, two teachers investigate a mysterious flashing light in the sports pavilion, while the rest of the school sleeps. There, among the lacrosse sticks, they stumble upon the body of the unpopular games mistress - shot through the heart from point blank range.

The school is thrown into chaos when the 'cat' strikes again. Unfortunately, schoolgirl Julia Upjohn knows too much. In particular, she knows that without Hercule Poirot's help, she will be the next victim!

My Quick Thoughts
There is nothing like an Agatha Christie book. Her books feel timeless and have such a flare about them, plus this is a boarding school mystery that involves a jewel theft, murder, and Hercule Poirot.
A packet of Ramat's crown jewels is missing and it may have ended up at a Meadowbank's school for girls in England. It is up to Poirot to figure out who is killing the teachers and save a young school girl from being next.
I was not sure who the muderer was but I was not tempted to peak because you really do want to figure out who did it on your own. This is one for the mystery junkies out there. I would push this one on a teen who wanted a more clean murder series. Plus one of the main characters in this is a teenage girl who keeps her wits about her when she stumbles into a mystery. Highly recommended!

  1. Ahhh, Agatha Christie - one of my favorites. Nothing like a good AC mystery with a large cup of tea on a quiet evening. I have a few on my shelf that I haven't read yet. Wish this was one of them!
