Book Jacket Summary
Danger and betrayal, secrets and enchantment in the breathtaking conclusion to the Infernal Devices trilogy.

Tessa Gray should be happy - aren't all brides happy?
Yet as she prepares for her wedding, a net of shadows begins to tighten around the Shadowhunters of the London Institute.
A new demon appears, one linked by blood and secrecy to Mortmain, the man who plans to use his army of pitiless automatons, the Infernal Devices, to destroy the Shadowhunters. Mortmain needs only one last item to complete his plan. He needs Tessa. And Jem and Will, the boys who lay equal claim to Tessa's heart, will do anything to save her.

My Thoughts
Oh Cassandra Clare, you do know how to make me cry! I loved every moment of this book and it took me forever to read because I wanted it to last forever. Here is one book book that I did not want to end but when it did... It was perfect. No spoilers here but I do have to say that it just tugged my heart strings and me so happy.
Tessa, Will, and Jem are just caught up in a love triangle but not your usual YA stuff. I was so conflicted by this and Cassie just has a way of making it so hard to even think about who Tessa should choose. Plus Sophie and Bridget are so cool in this book! It is great to have such kick-ass heroines in a book and the fact that they are mundane in a paranormal world makes their fighting skills that much better. Bridget just cracks me up with her inopportune times of singing tragic ballads, such as in the middle of a proposal! I love every single character in this book because they are just integral to the story, even the supporting cast.
Is there anything bad I can say about this one? Not really. I would recommend this series even to those who have not read the original Mortal Instruments series that started the Shadowhunters. It is just one of my favorite reading experiences and I will be rereading it soon!

  1. Wasn't it just perfect? I tried to read slowly to make it last but it was just so good I couldn't stop. One of my fave series of all time!
