Book Jacket Summary
Every day's an adventure with Isabella!

Isabella checks out the library, and steals the spotlight from some of the most memorable children's book characters. She's Alice, tumbling down the rabbit hole. No, now she's Peter Pan, flying off to Never Never Land. And when it's finally time to follow the yellow brick road home, she decides she's happy just being Isabella, the little purple-haired girl with a lot of books and even more imagination.

My Thoughts
Books about books make me happy and this is my first Isabella book which make happy. I think this is a picture book series I can stand behind. This one has Isabella going to the library with her family and wanting her name to be those of characters in her favorite books. First is Peter Pan, then Goldilocks, or Captain Nemo. This is such a fun book because it is repetitive with the changing names but Isabella's parents change it up to match the new character.
The best part (at least for me) was the history behind each author of the books. There was some information that even I did not know. Did you know that is some of the original Goldilocks and the Three Bears the girl was actually silver haired. It is so strange what sticks through oral tellings. It also had works consulted and websites. Love that this author makes sure that children can find more information on the subjects!
