WHERE YOU’LL FIND ME Cover Reveal

Today Erin Fletcher and Entangled Teen are revealing the cover for WHERE YOU’LL FIND ME, releasing in early 2014! Check out the gorgeous cover, exclusive excerpt, and enter to win an eARC!

On to the reveal!

When Hanley Helton discovers a boy living in her garage, she knows she should kick him out. But Nate is too charming to be dangerous. He just needs a place to get away, which Hanley understands. Her own escape
methods—vodka, black hair dye, and pretending the past didn't happen—are more traditional, but who is she to judge?

Nate doesn't tell her why he's in her garage, and she
doesn't tell him what she's running from. Soon, Hanley¹s trading her late-night escapades for all-night conversations and stolen kisses. But when Nate¹s
recognized as the missing teen from the news, Hanley isn't sure which is worse: that she's harboring a fugitive, or that she's in love with one.

Exclusive Excerpt

Nate looks me over, from my jacket to my favorite pair of
jeans, to the shoes that are bonfire-worthy but still cute. My hair, with the
help of a straightener, is so silky that my dark bangs fall into my eyes even
more than usual. My eye makeup is amped up. Whether all of this is because of
the bonfire or because of who I hoped I’d run into before leaving is open for
debate. He reaches up and brushes my bangs away from my face. The split-second
touch makes me crave more. “You look gorgeous.”

“Thank you.”

“Where are you headed?”

Though staying here in the garage might be a better option,
I say, “A bonfire.”

Nate studies me again, but this time it feels like he’s
looking for something deeper. “Don’t you ever get tired of sneaking out?”

“Not really,” I say with a shrug.

He tugs on the zipper of my fleece, lowering it slightly and
pulling me closer. “What are you running from, Hanley?”

It feels like my secrets are written all over my face, but I
say, “Nothing.”

When he smiles, it’s almost sad. “I don’t buy it.”

I lean in, putting both hands on the car behind him, one on
either side, trapping him. “You tell me why you’re living in my garage and I’ll
tell you what I’m running from.”

He gives a sly smile and doesn’t budge. “Secrets it is.”

“Secrets it is,” I echo. And even though the small space
between us is electric and threatening to disappear, I push off the car and
step away. “I’ll see you later,” I say as I open the door.

“Hanley,” he says before I can get too far. “Be careful out
there, okay?”

I don’t make any promises.

Nerd Blast: Trinkets, Treasures, and Other Bloody Magic

Three months ago, I lost my foster sister, Sienna, to the darkness. As in blood magic and chaos and general mayhem. No one saw it until it was too late, but I should have. Now, I have a wounded heart and soul that I can’t even reveal to anyone around me, because I’m supposed to hate Sienna with the fiery passion of the justified. And I do. I just wish I didn’t feel so lost without her, so unsure of the path I thought I had carved for myself, and so outclassed by the powerful Adepts constantly by my side these days. I’m not even sure if they’re with me for my own protection or because my shiny new powers are rare and valuable. Assuming I ever figure out who or what I am, and how my magic actually works.
Even chocolate can’t save the day every time … just most of the time. At least I’ve got that going for me.

Winter's Tale by Robert Sabuda

Winter's Tale
by Robert Sabuda
12 pages
Library
Winter Pop-Up Book
2005

Book Jacket Summary
Winter's Tale is Robert Sabuda's most spectacular original pop-up story yet. The simple, elegant text is illustrated with breathtaking artwork and extraordinary paper engineering. Stunning visual effects of foil, glitter, and a twinkling surprise further capture the magic of winter. This is a must-have for everyone's bookshelf.

My Thoughts
I have always been in awe of the pop-up book, especially a well crafted one that draws the reader in. This is that type of picture book and Robert Babuda puts a lot of other similar books to shame. This winter themed pop-up book is done in mostly white paper of animals one would find on a cold winters night. The moose is my favorite animal because it seems like an almost impossible animal to do in a complicated pop-up endeavor. It has three layers of antlers and stands behind a wood pile that the narrator is going to collect from. When you lift the flap on the right side of the page there is a family of beavers that magically appear. It is amazing that on each page there are two sets on pop-ups.
This book is perfect to read around the magical time of Christmas! I highly recommend purchasing this on for your home collection!

The Romeo Club Cover Reveal

The Romeo Club
by Rebekah L Purdy
Release Date:
03/25/14

YA CONTEMPORARY ROMANCE

Summary from
Goodreads:

THE ROMEO CLUB is Hitch meets The Secret of My Success.

What happens
when you agree to help your brother “de-nerdify” so he can catch the attention
of the popular Chloe Anders, and to everyone's surprise, he actually lands
her?

And what if his equally geeky friends come running with girl wish lists of
their own, offering money for your services?

Well, if you’re sixteen-year-old, Delyla Denson, then you start The Romeo Club.
A secret club where she’ll teach these guys how talk, act, and be cool around
girls. It’s a win-win situation.

She’ll get enough money for the awesome prom dress she’s had her eye on, and
the guys, well, they’ll get dates and maybe learn how to do something other
than beat the next level on their video games.

There are only two problems with this plan. One, her quarterback/track star
boyfriend is getting jealous of how much time she’s spending away from him and
decides to try and figure out what’s going on. And two, Delyla is kind of falling
for her brother’s BFF, Trey who she’s been hanging out with a lot more. And who
thanks to her help, has caught the attention of the beautiful, perfect, and
popular, Portia Rickard. With Portia and Trey heating up, Delyla realizes that
maybe the person she’s meant to be with has been in front of her all this
time.

But falling for Trey means she’ll have to take drastic measures including
sabotage, with a capital S.

The Man with the Violin by Kathy Stinson

The Man with the Violin
by Kathy Stinson
illustrated by Dusan Petricic
Picture Book
NetGalley-Annick Press Ltd.
July 2013

Book Jacket Summary
"Who is playing that beautiful music in the subway? And why is nobody listening?"

This gorgeous picture book is based on the true story of Joshua Bell, the renowned American violinist who famously took his instrument down into the Washington D.C. subway for a free concert. More than a thousand commuters rushed by him, but only seven stopped to listen for more than a minute. In "The Man With the Violin," bestselling author Kathy Stinson has woven a heart-warming story that reminds us all to stop and appreciate the beauty that surrounds us.

Dylan is someone who notices things. His mom is someone who doesn't. So try as he might, Dylan can't get his mom to listen to the man playing the violin in the subway station. But Dylan is swept away by the soaring and swooping notes that fill the air as crowds of oblivious people rush by. With the beautiful music in his head all day long, Dylan can't forget the violinist, and finally succeeds in making his mother stop and listen, too.

Vividly imagined text combined with illustrations that pulse with energy and movement expertly demonstrate the transformative power of music. With an afterword explaining Joshua Bell's story, and a postscript by Joshua Bell himself.

My Thoughts
You can see the music flow upon the page as Dylan walks into the subway station with vivid colors in a world devoid of substance. I have to hand it to the illustrator and love how Dylan’s sightline is filled with color while his mother’s is blank white. The adults are in such a hurry that they do not notice that Joshua Bell, a world renowned violinist, is playing his Stradivarius for them all. It seems that only Dylan can sense the magic that is happening and wants to stay and listen but his mother is in a hurry.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book with its gorgeous art and message about enjoying what is around you. It is also amazing that it is based around a true event and that Bell took his priceless Stradivarius down there with him. Bell said in his Postscripts that it was the children who strained to listen because of their imagination and curiosity. Most people just hurried by and did not hear the music, which is sad because Bell can play a mean violin. Seriously, look him up! It is a nice message that the mother did put down her stuff and danced with her boy!
Highly recommend!
